Image Pose Animation

The script is useful if you want to animate some images in a certain sequence (e.g. – for cutout animation) in 3dsmax . The controls are in the CA modifier added to the object.

Install notes:
- Unzip, run exe file, select max root dir. You can find the script in “Customize User Interface”>”Category”>”Blago Script”>”ImagePoseAnim”

Tested on: 3dsmax 2011, 3dsmax 2012

ImagePoseCtrlMng dialog:

Add Image Pose Control (button) – adds CA modifier with all the controls for the animation of the image poses
Change IFL common root (button) – changes the Root path of the IFL filename of the selected object
Sel.Obj. w/ ImagePoseAnim. (button) – selects all the object with added ImagePoseControl

ImagePosesAnim CA modifier:

•Image List rollout:

ImageList (listbox) – container of the images(poses). Right click over image will show you the filename of the image. Double Click will display the image.

Add (button) – Adds one image to the ImageList

Remove (button) – Removes selected image from the ImageList

Add Dir (button) – Adds multiple images from folder. The files will be filtered by the filter string

Filter (textbox) – This string will be used to filter the images added trough Add Dir button

•Panel rollout:

Image Pose Panel (button) – Creates rollout with thumbnails for each image pose

Thumbnail size (spinner) – Sets the size of each thumbnail

Columns count correction (spinner) – Corrects the column number of the Image Pose panel. When ’0′ the thumbs are arranged in square

•Options rollout:

Type of control - The types are:
- Image File List (IFL) – will create ifl file. Make sure the file name has been set first.
- One Image (All-Imgs-In-One) - will create one big image from the images in the Image list. The BIG image will be saved in “\_BigImage\” in the folder where the 1st image is.
The second type of control is faster because MAX loads only one image.

Apply To Object (button) – Apply the selected type of control to the object (to the material of the object)

(Re) Build material (button) – Creates or updates the material of the object

(Re) Build BigImage (button) – Creates or updates BIG image of the object

Clear Thumb Cache (button) – Clears the Thumbnail cache. Use it when the images are updated but their count remains the same

Print ImageList (button) – Prints the ImageList in the MAXScript Listener

Show Big Image (button) – Displays the BigImage

Save as Default (button) – Saves as dafault settings some of the options

FixAnimController – Removes the keys of the missing image and fixes the controller so the animation remains the same.

Apply To Object – Will press the Apply to Object button for you

(Re) Build IFL – Creates or updates the IFL file

Disco lights

The whole idea came from this site – www.discolitez.com – that i saw long time ago. Finally we (I and a friend of mine – Martin Anastasov) made a box for controlling 8 lights (220V) trough winamp or audio input ( Line-in, StereoMix, Mic, etc.). 8 channels, each one with bypass option and dimmer. The connection is via USB. To use winamp you need the plugin from discolitez. To control via different audio inputs you need a program called Lightning ( http://www.sools.com/ ).

Of course the name is FX Lights :P
